Step aside Einstein, here’s the list of Malaysian Maths whizz! We are excited to announce the winners of the CasioMaths Competition 2022 held on 1 October last year.

Organised by Marco Corporation, this event was endorsed by the Department of Education, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur (JPWP Putrajaya) and held in two phases. In the first phase, participants had the privilege of attending a hands-on online workshop, Casio Classwiz Workshop, while the second phase entailed an on-ground event, the CASIO Mathematics Competition (CASIOMATHS), held at SMK Putrajaya Presint 11.

The online workshop was conducted on 14 September 2022 for the Lower Form session, while the Upper Form session was held on 23 September 2022. The workshop was conducted on the Google Meet platform and streamed live on the JPWP Putrajaya YouTube channel. It was well-received, with over tuning in from Putrajaya and adjacent areas in Klang Valley to learn about the various features and functionalities of the Casio calculator.

The second phase of the competition, CASIOMATHS, was held on 1 October 2022 and open to all students from the Putrajaya District. It attracted the participation of 498 students from five different forms. The participants were divided into various categories based on their forms, and needless to say, the competition was fierce!

The Prize Giving Ceremony was held on 3 February 2023 at Sekolah Sultan Alam Shah Putrajaya.

The competition was a huge success, and we would like to thank all the participants, teachers, and organisers who made this event possible. We hope that this competition has inspired students to continue exploring the wonderful world of mathematics and to use the Casio calculator to its full potential.
